My new toy from Scan Computers

Nice, should get a few years out of that, you might need it to at the rate prices keep climbing.

Shame that crypto mining and DRAM shortages are kinda screwing PC gamers at the moment. Prices for GPUs, SSDs and even PSUs are eye watering.
I am not looking forward to anything needing replacing over the next 1-2 years, unfortunately I may need to refresh my SSDs at some point. Hurry up and finish that new factory Samsung.

is it here yet? Division might be good game to play a little , me des squatchy and rob just getting back on it today, lots more added now

Currently downloading division and a few other things. I've found my microphone and i'll use some headphones for now - I can't find the damn USB dongle for those wireless ones Des gave me. I'll get some speakers at some point but a monitor is the next thing to go for at the moment :)

I had some issues with this PC from day one. It was overclocked by Scan and as soon as I launched a game, the PC would crash. Disabling the overclock when advised to by Scan solved the problem. I then noticed the computer started to shake and the top fans were making a grinding noise. A call to Scan Computers quickly got one of their engineers to visit me and he replaced the top fans. This stopped the bad vibrations but now and again the grinding noise came back when shutting the computer down.

Recently the computer started to freeze, a buzzing sound would come from the speakers or headphones and then the computer would restart. I tried updating the motherboard drivers and I reinstalled Windows several times but the problem continued. I did memory checks, drive checks and everything else. I decided to return the computer to Scan under their three year warranty after speaking to them via live chat.

I'll be honest, I was a little concerned. I thought that they would simply say everything is fine and return the computer to me. My fears seemed to come true when the first support email from 3XS of Scan Computers said they couldn't find a fault but they would continue testing. I then received another email the day after stating that they had found a fault with the motherboard and would replace it with a more expensive one as they no longer had mine in stock.

I'm actually very impressed with Scan so far. I've purchased components from them in the past and this was the first time i'd purchased a full system from them. They have emailed me every day as promised giving me information about the checks they are doing and when they think the computer will be ready for collection. Yes i've had issues with the computer, but Scan have been on top of it and dealt with it in good time. I'm sure i'll buy from them again :)
